Flats & Backcountry Fishing

These backcountry excursions are generally on smaller boats, so 1 or 2 guests is perfect. Most captains will offer spinning rods or fly fishing options as well. Can you imagine a 100lb Tarpon on a fly rod! It happens around here! Tarpon, bonefish and permit are commonly the game fish in the backcountry, and it's a well known fact that many keys fishing records are held by boats leaving from this marina. Getting out into the backcountry is a remarkable experience, wonderful for the fishing novice to expert, with incredible scenery, and the opportunity to get a shot at a trophy fish year round.
